Basic Chiropractic Treatment
At Chaney Sports Chiropractic, our basic chiropractic treatment includes full spine adjusting, extremity adjusting and physiotherapy modalities.

The Full Spine Adjustment allows the body to function more efficiently by improving nerve flow to all parts of the body.

The Extremity Adjustment deals with adjusting the fixations in our extremities caused by exercises like running and jumping and repetitive use. The adjustments help to improve the function of the extremities, as well as removing stress from the rest of the body.

Physiotherapy Modalities - such as ultrasound, intersegmental traction and electrical muscle stimulation – speed up the healing time and help the adjustments hold better and longer.

Postural Retraining
In our 6 week program – supported with chiropractic adjustments – we evaluate muscle imbalances and provide simple stretches to help address problems that can lead to poor posture.

Soft Tissue Work
We offer specialized muscle release work, dealing with soft tissue and balancing over-active and under-active muscles.

Core Stabilization
Core muscle strength helps to stabilize the body, keeps your back healthy, holds you upright and improves balance. We assess core muscle strength and provide effective methods for improving core stability.

Balance Training
Poor balance can lead to numerous health problems such as low back and neck pain and chronic knee or ankle pain. At Chaney Sports Chiropractic, we work to determine the weak areas that cause poor balance and address the proprioceptive system, which helps with our equilibrium using exercises to help improve balance.

" At the age of 28, a doctor diagnosed me with osteoarthritis in both of my knees. Exercising made my knees hurt and eventually walking was painful. After a very active physical life, my activity was cut by 80%. Over the next fifteen years, I did less and less. I was afraid of the pain and afraid to move lest I make the condition worse.

After a mild back injury, a friend recommended I go see Dr. Chaney. While there, I got my courage up to ask her if she could help with my knee problem. What I heard was a surprise. After describing the symptoms, she suggested that I did not have arthritis. I couldn’t believe my ears.

Well, the rest of the story is that Dr. Chaney was correct. After x-rays to diagnose a mechanical problem with my knees and physical therapy, I can bike and hike. I am not afraid to exercise anymore. I still have to be careful not to over do it. It is wonderful to be active again. Thanks Dr. Chaney."
