Heat & Ice Easy Exercise Strengthening

Simple Stretches - You want to stretch a muscle that has been in a shortened position.

  • If you must cradle the phone between your shoulder & ear, stretch your neck in the opposite direction when you get off the phone

Take Micro-Breaks

  • Every 20-30 minutes of sitting at the computer, stop working, sit up straight with you weight on your butt bones, head held high, hands turned out.
  • Take 3 deep slow breathes
  • Return to work

Chin Retractions

  • In the car at a red light, pull your chin straight back (make a double chin)
  • Make your head push against the head rest for the duration of the red light
  • If you cannot touch your headrest, your seat is tilted too far back or your head rest is too low.
